Terza Torre

Third tower, a 13th-century fortress with a prison. Montale is characterized by a beautiful slender shape and pentagonal plan; the interior is not accessible. The exterior has various photo opportunities.

Pedestrian access from the San Marino RTV parking, Kursaal, then continuing 5 min on an easy uphill path. The underlying rocky spur makes it a very rugged area but interesting from a photographic point of view. It can also be accessed via the path starting from the second tower.
